Created a new hair grooming workflow (and tools) that solved many previous workflow issues. This workflow sped up approval, improved quality/and accuracy, and allowed for more complex grooms. “Volumetric Grooming”, organized thousands of curves into sculpt-able, geometric, volumes. This would take what would normally be 1000 guide curves used to groom, and simplify/group them into 40 geometric volumes that were precise to the shape, flow, and silhouette of the rendered hairs. The geometric hair volumes could then be used in up stream departments for a a fast, yet very precise representation of the groom.

This workflow is still used today for grooming at Disney Animation and Pixar, and continues to evolve.
